Why make trading automation inspectable?
A tool should make its rules and activity easier to question, not ask you to trust a hidden process.

A software company focused on visibility
Paradiseflycatcher is a Cape Town software business founded in 2022. We provide a configurable workspace for people who already have trading rules and want to test, connect and monitor them more systematically. The service brings strategy settings, historical test records, broker-connection status and order events into a place where users can inspect them. We serve users in South Africa who want to understand the operation of an automated workflow before deciding whether to use one. Our role is to provide software and explain how its controls work, not to choose investments or make trades on a client's behalf.

How we approach a configuration
We begin with the rules the user can actually describe: the conditions for entry and exit, the instruments involved and the intended limits. We then check whether the proposed broker connection is supported, configure the workspace and walk through a historical test with its assumptions visible. That sequence matters more to us than a polished chart without a traceable setup. Users receive a record of the configuration and an explanation of where to find order events and exceptions. Our teal-modern interface uses clear status colours to help separate normal activity from items needing attention; colour alone is never the only signal.

The limits we state plainly
The software cannot determine whether a strategy is suitable for someone's financial circumstances. A backtest cannot reproduce future markets, and a configured limit cannot control every effect of price gaps, outages or broker behaviour. We do not manage accounts, provide personal investment advice or promise a trading outcome. Where a broker interface or data permission prevents a requested setup, we explain the dependency instead of presenting it as completed work. Users remain responsible for their strategies, account permissions, supervision and decisions. These boundaries are part of understanding the tool, not fine print to discover later.
